SICK POLICY
Please inform the studio as soon as possible if a student was present for lessons and was contagious with an illness. The studio frequently sanitizes all surfaces, but will do a deep cleaning of the studio upon being made aware of the possibility of contamination.

When in doubt, stay home and have a virtual lesson. Miss Elizabeth will do the same.
Illness or Injury Exclusion Criteria- Reasons for which a student should not attend classes.
Fever of 100ºF and over – exclude until student has been fever-free for at least 24 hours.
Conjunctivitis (pink eye), strep infections, ringworm, and impetigo are all infections and must be treated with medication for a minimum of 24 hours before returning to lessons. Please do not allow affected students back before this time so that other students are not infected unnecessarily.
Rash of unknown origin (especially if accompanied by a fever).
Head injury.
Severe coughing or difficulty breathing.
Colds – As some of the symptoms of covid can be the same as covid-19, I ask that if you have a cold, you have a virtual lesson.
Diarrhea or vomiting – exclude until student has been symptom-free for at least 24 hours.
Stiff neck associated with a fever and/or a recent injury.
Inadequate immunizations with known disease outbreak in the community.
Refer to the VDOH “Communicable Disease Reference Chart for School Personnel” for other exclusions/information.
