Violin lessons since 1999.

New Suzuki Students

The Elizabeth A. George Violin Studio is a Suzuki studio.  Parents of students who have never taken lessons before should familiarize themselves with the philosophy of the Suzuki philosophy.  Information regarding the Suzuki philosophy can be found at the bottom of the page.  It is required that parents read "Nurtured By Love" by Sinichi Suzuki.  It is important that the parent is ready and willing to be an active participant in their child's violin education and character development.  Parents of prospective students should contact the studio for a phone consultation from which the teacher will discuss further the expectations of the parents and students.  If the parent wishes to proceed, further information will be provided via e-mail as well.  While it is ideal to start Suzuki lessons at a young age, typically 4 or 5, students who are older are welcome.

Existing Suzuki Students

Current Suzuki violin students who may be new to the area are more than welcome to call the studio to arrange a preliminary lesson for the teacher to assess the student's progress, to plan a course of further study, and to assess the compatibility of the student and the teacher.

non-Suzuki Students

Non-Suzuki violin students should contact the studio regarding the availability and compatibility of the studio with the student.

Teaching music is not my main purpose. I want to make good citizens. If children hear fine music from the day of their birth and learn
to play it, they develop sensitivity, discipline and endurance. They get a beautiful heart.
— Shinichi Suzuki
